Back to Cancun, Mexico for Summer 2015

Being hispanic, Mexico has always been a big part of my life. Whenever I'm traveling in Mexico I feel at home. The music, the food and the atmosphere are all familiar to me...add the beach to that, and I'm in heaven.

Mexico has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. If you've been to Cancun, you know what I'm talking about. One of my favorite places in Cancun is Isla Mujeres, where my family and I did some snorkeling around coral reefs and got a closer look at Mexico's marine life and some of Cancun's famous underwater sculptures.

My  family and I spent most of our afternoons being lazy, getting tan and swimming at the beach our resort was on.  We also did some jet-skiing, parasailing and snorkeling as well.

This was a hotel we visited to do more snorkeling. The water was beautiful.

This was our second time in Cancun so we knew all the best places to eat. My favorite restaurant in Cancun is a place called La Pasteleteria. My favorite thing to order was the Enfrijoladas and a juice of strawberries, mango and oranges they call "La Coqueta."

The best thing about La Pasteleteria though is that it's also a bakery and before they bring your breakfast, they start you off with a little basket of fresh pastries for the table. My mouth is literally watering right now as I type this but my favorite pastries were the chocolate chip croissants and the little mini cheesecake pies. Not the best stuff to eat before throwing a bikini on, I know, but when in Mexico, right?

Cancun is one of those places you never get tired of going to. I can't wait to go back.
