A$AP Ferg Creates Streetwear Line To Help Kids In Need

By: Valeria Ramos

Rapper A$AP Ferg is making headlines this week for making a difference in the lives of young African children. Ferg's clothing brand, Traplord, revealed a new line of streetwear in collaboration with Uniform - a company that ethically produces clothing in Africa.

For every item from Ferg's line sold, a school uniform will be produced and given to a child in need. The collection is available online at Bloomingdale's with more pieces to be released later this month on both the Traplord and Uniform sites.

In an interview with Vogue, Ferg shared his inspiration behind creating this line was a trip to Liberia, where he met with the women who work at the Uniform factories and spent time with children in the area.

"You see a lot of [the kids] in the streets because they can't afford a uniform and therefore can't go to school," Ferg said "providing them with free uniforms not only enables these kids to get an education,  but I think it makes them happy and empowered - I'm a strong believer in dressing the way you want to be."

Here's a look at some of the pieces from the Traplord x Uniform capsule collection, which you can shop now at Bloomingdale's
