Ralph Lauren: A New Age of Elegance

Ralph Lauren gave his audience an experience of a lifetime with his latest show. The designer ditched the typical fashion show scene for a more exclusive method of showcasing his collection.

The designer had his guests over at Ralph's Cafe for breakfast and a first look at his Spring 19 ready-to-wear collection.

Gold, black and white were the only colors to walk down the runway. Though might seem limiting and overdone, with each of the looks that walked down the runway, a new life was given to each of the colors. The all white looks were the most mesmerizing, as the soft color was paired with bold cuts that screamed power businesswoman, drawing a beautiful contrast.

Sticking to solid colors, except for a guest appearance from a floral print on a large scale, Lauren made his unique silhouettes the point of focus. With the silhouettes and the cuts being the main feature of the collection, Lauren didn't hold anything back, he included a huge variety of cuts ranging from short party dresses, long-sleeved maxi dresses, flowy trousers and cardigans.

With such a limited palette, we got a little bit of everything for everyone. This perfect balance between minimalism and maximalism resulted in such a unique show and a brilliant season for the brand.

Keeping up with the themes of gold and elegance, the designer opted to pair his looks with minimal yet bold golden accessories, bracelets, earrings, clutches and heels. The models' hair varied according to the look each was sporting but what they all had in common is the light make up with the main focus on glowing, radiant skin to match the elegance and softness of the clothes.

With this collection we got all of the inspiration we need for the coming spring and we can't wait for this cold to be over so we can put our own twits on his signature looks.
